A life well lived but gone too soon.

Husband to Kim and a fun father to Nicola and Sam. Anthony was a well-liked and hard working NHS dentist for 35 years in Heywood and Rochdale. He loved the outdoors, especially walking in the Lake District and holidaying anywhere in the sunshine by the sea. He absolutely loved golf and joined Walmersley Golf Club in 1988 and went on to be Captain at Walmersley in 2016. He has sadly died less than a year from official diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, an aggressive disease which immediately takes away your quality of life and for dad all the things he loved to enjoy (indulging in great food and drink at home and abroad). This disease needs more research and more awareness of the early symptoms to help earlier detection. If you want to do anything for our fun, kind and excitable dad you can donate to www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk or just simply read about the symptoms and pass it on. Say yes to things, be generous, explore, travel, go on great walks, garden, love a BBQ, watch all the sport (especially United), drink real ale and red wine, have a brandy with a coffee, listen to a bit of Bowie and Springsteen and don't ever stop having fun. That's how dad lived, like a big kid but he protected us all and would do anything for anyone. We'll miss you forever but promise to live life to the absolute fullest as you did.
