John Noel Dean

John died on 19th June, after a long dementia illness,which typically he resisted until the very end. He will be remembered for years to come by friends ,family and neighbours. John was born in Cheetham Hill and moved to Nangreaves at an early age, where he was raised. He was a skilled wood pattern maker and worked at many engineering firms in the area. John and Beryl married in 1953 and moved to Unsworth, where they brought up 3 children. Whilst working full time ,John also played drums in dance bands at weekends and evenings. If you visited Bury or Bolton palais, or any working mens club in the 50s,60, or 70s he was probably the drummer in the dance band. Any other spare time was spent fishing. After retiring, John was able to spend a lot of time with his children and, grandchildren. Any other free time was now spent Fly fishing, gardening, DIY, or holidays with Beryl Always preferring outdoors to gorping at TV he passed this love of the countryside on to all his children John was ever cheerful right to the end. ,and will be greatly missed. He leaves wife Beryl .son Noel and the much missed Nigel along with favourite daughter Kay. As well as son in law, daughter in law. grandchildren great granchildren ,nephews and nieces.If you remember John from work, music or fishing, say hello or leave a message.
