Mike was born in Bolton General Hospital on Wednesday the 16th October 1996.
On the 4th July 2018 at the age of 21 my baby boy was taken from us, the victim of an horrific accident. Mike had an endearing way about him and was known and loved by many people.
He had a passion for football, playing in local teams from the age of 5. Attending various proffesional accademies over the years (MCFC, MUFC, Bury and Accrington) these still allowed Mike to also playing for his local team (Little Lever Sports Club). On top of this he also represented Bolton in the 'Town Team' as well as having periods with Walshaw Sports Club, Ramsbottom JFC and Padiham FC.
As a youngster he only had one Xbox game, it was all he needed or wanted, it was FIFA (whichever year the new FIFA game had been released). He also played darts in a local league, enjoying the time he spent competing.
He literally "wore his heart on his sleave", having a tattoo there to remember his beloved labrador "Sally". He supported the 'Dogs Trust' funding the wellbeing of two dogs, this is something we aim to continue with. He had two feather tattoos on his chest to commemorate the passing of both Grandads.
Mike will be sadley missed by all that knew him, he left a piece of himself with all of us.

To Michaels family
Our deepest sympathies for your loss of young Michael. The pain you are all going through, it is unimaginable ❤️.
Michael entered our lives in 2013 and became a regular visitor to our home. Michael particularly loved to play our very noisy games of Logo.....Everyone always wanted to be on your team as you always won as you were so quick with the answers, such a bright young man.
We will dearly miss your presence. You imprinted your loveable mark on our family. It is very difficult to put into words the sadness we feel in your passing. Until we meet again.
Always and forever ❤️❤️
Dawn and family

Our thoughts are with Paul , Kath , Janet and all the family.. such a tragic loss. We will be thinking about you all as you say goodbye to your boy on Friday. Heartfelt condolences. RIP Michael
I didn't really know Mike but speaking to some of the players at Little lever describe him as a warrior on the pitch, a great lad and he will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends and Friday will be a day for everyone to remember and celebrate his short but exciting life. RIP Michael Jones
No words can describe how sad I feel. I remember Micael from Reception to Year 6 at Bowness. An amazing young man with a fantastic family behind him. Even after he left he would return to the twice annual bingo. Michael and Joseph were known as One Direction. A beautiful soul taken too soon. My love goes out to all the family. ❤
Paul, Janet, Kathryn, Joseph and family.
It's difficult to find words big enough and deep enough understand the huge loss you have suffered. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Mike personally, only Paul and Kathryn. The support shown from Mike's community is huge, and clearly shows that this young man lived a life that was loved dearly and not wasted, the saddest part was a brief life.
In tradegy you'll find the strenght to treasure Mike and hold him closely within your heart. Memories live on inside us.
Take Care, all of you.
My thoughts are with you at the sad time.
To Katherine Paul and all the family, doesn’t seem to long ago when they where all little and round at ours or yours playing, lots of lovely memories. Thinking of you all. Rip Michael love from Carolyn ,Jim & Connor xx
Hi Paul & Janet, tears in my eyes & sure Mike's up there footy boots on waiting for the call, not a rubbish team but the best. Deepest sympathy with you both, family and his mates, heartbreaking. Can't make Friday as in Somerset, love to you all, give him a good send off I'm sure the boys will
Mike you was many a time round at our house as you knew you was always welcome ( Greg always greeted you with IT'S MR JONES and your smile went from ear to ear ..
You came whether it was just to chill and have a chat, before/after a night out with the Lads.
Greg used to say Mike's been round as he's raided my stash of toffee's/nuts again .
People used to get mixed up with you and Ryan saying you looked alike and thought you where blood brothers .
You where such a lovely, kind hearted , well mannered young man who everyone loved .
You've been taken from us all far too soon and going to miss you and your beautiful smile , you'll always be forever in our hearts and never be forgotten ❤❤
R.I.P Mike
All our Love
Always
