Greg was a genuinely brilliant bloke who had a lot of time for our school sport and in particular football - he was the only member of staff to step forward and help out when our U13’s got to the national finals two years ago - I made sure he got to come along with the lads that day and I think he enjoyed the day as much as the lads did! He would always ask how the teams were getting on, and would make it out to watch whenever he could.
This kindness and good-natured approach followed him wherever he went.
He was a die-hard fantasy football fanatic and was always game for the World Cup sweepstakes! He called me Andreas to which I would always respond with Sir Gregory. A mutual respect ran through the time I worked with Greg, and he will be sorely missed around the place when the new term begins.
RIP Sir Gregory x
Without a doubt the nicest, most genuine man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. A true gentlemen who both my girls and I have so many happy memories of. Greg you are sorely missed and will be forever in all our hearts. R.I.P my friend x
Greg was the guy who arranged all our work dos. We called him Mr Social. Our favourite days were when Greg said ‘I’m doing an order, want anything’ It was the best opportunities to sit round eating our chipy or barm as a group. He brought everyone together no matter the situation. One of my funniest work memories was of him and Jim having a hilarious moment over the pumps not working in the pub. It was sketch show material and a memory we bring up whenever we need a good laugh. The group will not be the same without him.
Greg's carefree attitude and wonderful sense of humour will stay with anyone who knew him. His passing is a genuine loss to us. It's no small thing to say that he made going to work fun and the joy he brought was all too rare a thing nowadays. It will be rarer still now. We'll miss him and never forget.
You brought so much love and joy to Anne-Marie and to those who touched your life. The world has lost one of the good ones. RIP Greg you will never be forgotton.xxxxx
There are no words except I was privileged to have you in my life & you truly made me a better person. I will never forget you & will always love you xxxx
