Barbara was truly an amazing woman. She will always have a special place in our hearts. She volunteered twice a week to come and be a part of our son's play therapy programme. She was an inspiration to all of us! Her energy, love and commitment was extraordinary! Her gorgeous laugh and words of encouragement and hope meant the world to us. We will never forget her. Barbara and I at the age of four started school on the same day together and have been good friends ever since. We took each other the way we were, as true friends always do. With fond and loving memories - au revoir my dear friend. xx

Sorry to hear such sad news I met Barbara and her daughter through her friend, Tina We spent time together in Cyprus and at the Manchester Xmas markets In that brief time, we had such a laugh. She was such a natural lovely person. I'm sure she will be missed by many Love to her family and friends

I am grateful and honoured to have met Barbara some 20 years ago. She has welcomed me as a family friend ever since. We shared some lovely time together and where truly indulging some currys in different curry houses. When asked of how she is and felt she just smiled and said 'I am having some good and bad days'and today its good. We always had a good laugh and moan of acheing pains and just carried on. I dearly miss you my friend, rest in peace Geli xx

You helped teach me the way and values to begin my working career when we met at The Gift People 18 yrs ago, even when I left The Gift People as the office junior you kept in touch, we had nights out together and wow you even got yourself on Facebook. What a night we had when we last got together and went to the Shabbaz together! No more suffering and love to all your family who will miss you forever because you were such a wonderful lady. Where to begin Barbara was one of the most influential women in my life.... a second mum to me, I’ve been blessed to know her and share moments of happiness, sadness, anger, elation, love & laughter with her... always the voice of reason whenever me & Emma were getting wound up about something, always the ear to bend if we needed to vent, always the shoulder to lean on in times of stress - she was quite simply one in a million. Barbara - it was a pleasure and an honour to know you, and it is with a heavy heart we now have to say goodbye to you. Rest In Peace now lovely Barbara, pain free and comfortable... get your dancing shoes on as your next journey begins. She took me to hospital, waited for me to come out of surgery, and let everyone know I was OK, I will forever be grateful for the love and kindness she always showed me.
