Marie passed away peacefully on the morning of 23rd August 2018 after a six year courageous battle with Mesothelioma.
Loving wife of Callum and beloved mother of Jonathan and Christopher. Marie was also mother in law of Nichola for whom she considered; ‘the daughter she never had,’ and loving sister to her brother; George. Marie was adoring grandmother of Jacob and Isaac.
Six years ago Marie was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, for which sadly there is no cure. Her illness introduced Marie to Bolton Hospice and she spent time there attending day therapy; enjoying craftwork and complimentary therapies. Hence donations made in Marie’s memory will be given to the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research fund, to try and find a cure for this terrible disease, and to Bolton Hospice.

Auntie Marie, you are a wonderful lady with a very kind and generous heart. I’d love the way we’d annoy people such as creeping up behind my dad or James and flick their ears so hard they’d curse us! Or shouting ‘bop’ in their ears to almost blow their ear drums! Hilarious times and I loved getting into mischief with you, it was such fun to wind my dad up! I will miss your mischievous ways and you have left a legacy with my daughter now as she loves winding people up as much as you.
When we came to visit, you’d take me to all the best charity shops and pound shops, we’d love it - we all loved bargain hunting!!
We will miss you so much auntie Marie, I hope you rest easy - you will forever be in our hearts. I will always remind Elinor about you and we will cherish the memories. Lots and lots of love, Gina, Chris and Elinor xxxxxx
My funny and kind Auntie Marie. I have so many wonderful memories of our visits to Bolton. I was so proud that I had family in a foreign country called "England"! I would brag to all of my friends of our visits and try to recreate your accent. We knew that our visits would be filled with laughter, funny gadgets that you'd picked up on your travels and scary movies that you loved to show us even though we were petrified. I will miss you so much and I feel so sad that I wont get to hear your laugh again. We hope that you are resting peacefully.
Lots of Love, Gemma, Rhys, Seb and little bump xx

Thank you for the kindness shown and for being a good friend to my Dad, Tom Brewer Marie. He would kid around that you were like his third daughter, I know you liked the idea, and it made him happy. You hold a special place in our hearts.
