I'll miss my visits to call on guiseppe..he was always cheerful and welcoming. We had some amazing conversations, but always in English.. I am trying to learn Italian .. But I couldn't coax him back into his native language.
I know he missed Virginia so much but he carried on bravely (always talking about her with a tear in his eye) despite his illness in recent times.
I first met them at St. Joseph's church and would often walk home with them after Saturday evening mass.
They were both always welcoming..Virginia making her perfect expresso and insisting she add her magic liqueur even though I was driving! Complete with her amaretti biscuits, it was a real treat.
A pleasure to have known you both. You are always in my thoughts, Two special people who are now together. Rest in peace.
It was a privilege and a pleasure for Bernard and I to visit and get to know Virginia and Giuseppe (call me Joe he said). Virginia was the perfect hostess and Joe would regale us with interesting and often funny tales on all kinds of topics. Generous to a fault, they always insisted we take home some produce from Joes fine garden..the plums were particularly delicious! Joe stoically soldiered on after the loss of Virginia though it was clear he missed her terribly. He is now at peace, reunited with her. I will always remember and pray for them, particularly each time I visit Bernards grave, poignantly right next to theirs. RIP Giuseppe
Rest in Peace Uncle Joe, endless memories of a truly lovely man, we miss your smile, your joking ways, we miss the things you used to say. RIP Uncle Joe

We always tried to make time to go and see uncle joe and auntie Virginia when we were over from Ireland. They always made us feel welcome and took time to stop whatever they were doing to sit and chat uncle joe would tell Vincenzo stories while auntie Virginia would make her special coffee. There will always be a little bit of sadness in our hearts but we will cherish our memories.RIP Zio Giuseppe Zia Virginia has you back were you belong together
Condolences. A gentle kind man and one of the best. Fond memories spent at your house in Grosvenor St where you and Aunty Virginia always welcomed me with A smile and wine, salami, coffee, cheese and bread. I learnt from you how to take cuttings and grafting of apple trees. You also took control and planted out my garden in Tottington. RIP.
RIP uncle joe. There are lots of memories I will cherish, one of which when he joined us to go to Italy in the early 2000s and the plane stopped mid air . The many nights of whisk and briscola. Me, Lorenzo and Ric would drop in at like 11pm and hed get out of bed and have a coffee on to play some cards! Im so thankful that despite his health and aunties passing he still managed to come to my wedding in August as I truly wasnt expecting it.
He was a kind, charming and welcoming person. He always had time for us and a cheeky playful side to him which would always make you smile.
Mine and my wifes thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time, rest in peace uncle joe.
Giuseppe, you made me feel like one of the family from day 1, your smile could light up the world and it will continue to warm my heart forever as that's where you'll always have a place.
That cheeky glint in your eyes I see in Alfi, so I know you'll be by his side. It was an absolute pleasure knowing you, give Virginia my love and a hug
Uncle Joe, you will be sadly missed. RIP love Tony and Duabe x x 2020-04-11
