I was truly saddened to hear of Bills passing. He was a true gent and a great boss.. A genuine policemans policeman respected by all Who served with him. Always happy and great company. NARPO meetings will not be the same without your friendship. RIP Boss my deepest condolences to your family
A true gent who I have known and worked with him since the early 70s. Always a smile when he greeted you. Bill helped me pass the Sergeants promotion exam which I will be forever grateful. RIP Bill. You will be sadly missed.
Bill was one of life's gentlemen. Despite recently struggling with his health he always had a smile.
We will certainly miss him at future Narpo events.
Rip Bill. Love from Andy & Linda x

Words cannot convey how much I loved you dad and how much I will miss you every single day. You have always been there for me through the ups and downs of my life . You have enjoyed spending time with Rosie, our horse and you often used to say you wished you could help more with her ,but your health problems restricted you. You were chuffed to bits when someone told you Rosie whinied when she heard your car ! You have supported and motivated us all to be the best that we can be and we all take after you with a strong work ethic . You always had tales to tell from your police days and spoke fondly of old colleagues...he was one of MY constables or sergeant ..a sense of family ..that always touched me ..and I think that shows in some of the comments I have read about dad .Me Andrew Jack and Abby will miss you so much but I know you are not far and will continue to guide me .You were the best dad in the world We will take you home to Church Bay as you wanted back with mum .xxxxxx
Where do I start taid.. you have always been the one to give me your words of wisdom but always supported me throughout eveything in life.. me and the boys will forever be grateful. And I hope you and nain are now at peace. Love you always angharad Charlie William and Bobi Wyn xxxxxx
They really do take the best & you are the BEST Taid that we could have ever asked for and my best friend, which made me the luckiest person to have you in my life. The man that would never miss my weekly riding lessons from the age of 5 and who would always stop off at the shop for a bag of carrots before coming to see Rosie. Thank you for always believing in me & pushing me to do my best Taid.. for being my first passenger after I passed my driving test- you were probably the only one who trusted me!! Ill miss our lunches out and Sunday teas, your texts filled with random emojis & your selfies! My graduation & first day as a qualified nurse wont be the same without you there to embarrass me telling everyone Im your little girl even though
Im 21!! & for me to ring you to tell you all about it. You really were the best Taid to ever walk this earth & I will forever treasure our memories & make you the proudest. There is a huge empty hole in my heart, but I know Ill never walk alone again with you & Nain by my side.
Your little girl, always xxxx

What can I say. I've known Bill since the early seventies. Never suffered fools, always had a smile on his face, well nearly always. Our last encounter was on the Black Watch on the Norwegian Fjords. It was only after the trip that he realised that he hadn't taken many photographs. I shared mine with him to choose which ones he wanted. Rest In Peace my brother in blue. You won't be dropping out of my memory box anytime soon.
Thankyou taid for everything you have done for me over the years..i still remember my holidays with you and nain aa a child..our trips to the airport with a picnic of jam sandwiches on seeded bread..there is going to be a big hole in all our hearts but you will. Live on in our memories and never be forgotten....love you dafydd xx

Bill was our Inspector at Bury in the early 80s. I always smile when I think of those happy times. A more loyal, generous, honest and humorous man you could never wish to meet. Rest in peace boss!! My deepest condolences to Bills family. He will be missed.
