We sadly lost Hugh on Sunday 24th May after a short stay in hospital. He was strong and battled through many illnesses in his life, heart problems, cancer, dementia and stroke, but sadly Coronavirus was just too much for him and he lost his battle. He will be reunited with his beloved wife Mary now and that gives some comfort.

The world at the moment is so uncertain, nobody could have predicted the struggle that this virus has brought upon us. Now we have lost Great Grandad Hugh and our heartache has grown.
Stanley would have been so lucky to know you as he is growing up. It is a terrible shame that your time here together was cut so short, but this life is only temporary, so for the time being we will be comforted knowing that there is a guardian angel up there watching over him.
Stanley is the baby of the family, he will grow up hearing stories about you from his Grandma Elizabeth, and your memory will go on as it should. You will be sorely missed Great Grandad, know that little Stanley loves you. Rest in Peace.
*The Highland Welcome:*
When Death's dark stream I ferry o'er,
A time that surely shall come;
In Heaven itself I'll ask no more
Than just a Highland welcome
(Robbie Burns)
