Matthew Thomas Young

  • 21.04.2003 - 10.09.2020

Our wonderful boy

Matthew was born at home in Rawtenstall on Easter Sunday 2003. He attended Christ Church Primary School in Walshaw before moving to Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School in 2014. Matthew was a kind-hearted, generous, caring and sensitive young man with a dry sense of humour and an affinity for musicals. He loved the Premier League and supported both Manchester City and Burnley Football Club. He loved travelling abroad on family and school holidays. Matthew is a very precious and loving son of Ian and Jacquelyn, a much loved brother of Joshua and a very special grandson, nephew, cousin and loyal friend. Matthew will be missed immensely by us all. Weʼre raising £8,000 to support a range of mental health charities that especially reach out and help young people, like Matthew, to talk about how they are feeling https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/matthew-young-2020
