Joyce was many things to many people. A wife, a mother, a mother-in-law, a grandmother, a great grandmother and a friend to countless others. Most of all, to everyone, she was herself. A kind and thoughtful woman who went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and check that you were doing ok.
To me, Joyce was my Aunt and Godmother. She was the very definition of family, always welcoming you with open arms no matter how long it had been.
There will always be a gaping hole in our hearts now that Joyce is no longer with us. I for one will seek solace in knowing that my life has been richer and more nourished having known and loved Joyce. X
Caring, kind, compassionate, giving, and strong. Joyce was all of this and more. What also stood out was that even in difficult times, Joyce managed to retain her dry sense of wit, and made me laugh every time we spoke. Dear Auntie Joyce, I feel so grateful to have had you lighting up my life. With love, Jenni X
Joyce, was a warm, caring, and loving person, who always had time for everyone. At this very sad time, our thoughts and love are with Jim, Austin, Howard, and family. With love and fond memories.
R. I.P. Joyce, my dear and oldest friend. Our friendship has lasted for 67 years and survived your family moving from our area whilst we were still at school. You will be sadly missed by me and lots of people who you have supported over the years. Love Rita X
Dear Jim, Howard, Austin and families we have you all in our thoughts at this very sad time. Joyce was one of life's lovely, caring and hard working people. We began as neighbours but over the years have become good friends with her and Jim, She was always happy to chat and give support whenever it was needed and for this we will always be grateful. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. We will really miss her but will always remember the good friend we had xxx
Joyce was a mentor, friend, and colleague to me and above all else she was the adopted grandma to our twin boys Andy and Alan. She was an island of tranquillity in the turbulent ocean of life. She will be sorely missed by Jim, Howard, Austin, and the whole family and by those of us who had the privilege to be touched by her generosity and selfless spirit. Joyce you are gone, but we shall meet again.
Aloys, Marie and the twins
Jim, Austin ,Howard and family you are in our thoughts at this difficult time.
Joyce came from a small family of 5, Mum Madge, Dad Stan, younger sister Brenda and me John. I will remember Joyce as my loving sister with a big heart and I am very lucky to have had Joyce as my sister. Always there when I needed her, I will greatly miss you and our long telephone conversations, bye for now, from your brother John
Joyce was so kind and welcomed me into her family when I married her brother-in-law after her sister had sadly died. My thoughts go out to all her family. I will light a candle and be there with you in spirit if not in person. ️❤️
Joyce was like a Mum to me, she was there for me many times. She diffused many an argument between my Dad & I, gently pulling his leg.
Jim & Family so very sorry for your loss, I will remember her fondly for ever x
