We are extremely heartbroken to announce our beloved Mum passed away on 08/11/20
It is hard not to use clichéd sentiments with Mum, because she really was incredible. Our Dad is remembered with such high regard and fondness by so many, but he would be the first to tell you he would have been nothing without Mum - ‘behind every good man is a great woman’.
Mum was Our Hero. Looking at her life from afar would suggest a life of constant pain and loss.
Mum lost her father to cancer when she just a child, losing her brother to a traumatic accident soon after. She suffered three miscarriages before we arrived and had to give up on her dream career due to ill health. She then lost Dad in such a devastating manner and spent a large portion of his final months separated from him due to a fractured hip. In more recent years her health had been deteriorating further, with frequent hospital admissions and having to come to terms with the psychological and physical effects of a transfemoral amputation.
Yet despite all this trauma, Mum would tell you she’d led a wonderful life, and always remind you about those suffering more than her.
She lived for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She was the most courageous, generous and caring person we have ever known and we could not have wished for a better Mother.
She would always fight for the underdog and was unwavering in her loyalty to those her needed her in the most difficult times.
She could have an argument with an empty room and was never wrong ?.
A huge void has now been left in our family that will take some time to recover from, but we will have nothing but happy memories of an inspirational woman.

Our deepest sympathy to Claire, Michael and Kieran.
Bernadette, your lovely Mum and our sister, such a brave person, loved by everyone and always will be. She was funny, happy and the most beautiful singer. God Bless you Bernadette. Always in our thoughts. RIP
Our deepest sympathy to Claire, Micheal and Kieran and your families on the loss o your beloved Mum Lovely Bernadette .She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is now safe with her beloved Kier !
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family, we have so many wonderful memories from our childhood throughout the decades. Bernadette was a true blue, kind and loving, with a beautiful smile and who could fill a room with her laughter. We were so lucky to have known such a wonderful person. Kieran and herself are together again, no more goodbyes. Heaven has a beautiful Guardian Angel in Bernadette, who will be watching over her loved ones.

My thoughts , big hugs and love from us all. I know it must be so hard with restrictions of numbers as Im sure the church would be jam packed without them. I will be thinking of you all on the day and wish I could be there. I have made a donation as I thought aunty B would like that best ️ Xxx
Heartfelt sympathy to all the Murphy and O'Connor family on the passing of Bernadette and this sad and difficult time.
She was a wonderful lady and I remember her as someone who was always very happy and full of life and mischief, may she rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy to all the Murphy and O'Connor family at this very sad time. I have fond memories of your visits to Ireland and Bernadette was always such a jolly person, just like her mother. May she Rest in Peace
Aunty Bern what can we say other than what a truly amazing lady you are. You are the strongest most courageous lady we know and you have taught us so much about the way we should look at life. We miss you so much, your smile, your character, your love. Im so glad you touched Keilans life and he will remember his aunty Bern forever. I will never forget the amazing memories I have with you and uncle kier from Devon to Dublin to steam trains and geography questions in trivial pursuit! We will love you always and we hope now you are back sharing a Bacardi and coke with your loving husband uncle kier, your favourite brother my dad and one of four best friends my mum, they will certainly look after you now. We will make sure we look after your family down here and of course your gorgeous grand children we will all be here for each other.
Love you always aunty Bern ️ Xxxx
