It was a privilege to have known Jim, and to be part of his final parade... Top guy, top soldier and a good friend he will be sadly missed, my condolences to Maureen, family and friends Jim, God bless you all...

Uncle jim you were an amazing man, you always put everyone else infront of yourself...... I will always remember the races to the park, trips to the sea front and caravan. Thank you for treating me like one of yours! I will continue to tell the kids about our adventures and your stories showing them your pictures.

You had the title of god parent for harriet but truth is you were equally as important to jack and alexander too, R.I.P. uncle jim. Lots of love from all of us here x

Jim you were a wonderful brother in law, funny, kind, and always there for us, my memories of you will last a lifetime and beyond, you may not be with us but you will never be forgotten, till we meet again, enjoy the party up there with mom and dad , family and friends. xxxx

Lovely service on Friday at Bolton parish church. Jim would have been proud of you Maureen, Jack and Harry. Harry looked so smart wearing his medal. Thinking of you all
