Our love and thoughts are with you Mary, Sam, Stuart, & the rest of your family at this most difficult of times. Stuart was a man with a twinkle in his eye & the warmest of smiles. His Great love for Mary the rarest of treasures . His family were his world, the joy he had seeing his grandchildren Max , Charlotte & Erica become the wonderful young people that they are, the pride he had when he spoke about them . We will miss his company, as will all that knew & loved him .

    Caroline, Joe and the girlies.

Stuart a stalwart of St Marys Golf Society for 30 + years, he was the standard we all looked upto - and he had the same term of endearment for every body - "thanks cock, good shot cock etc etc". Peter Turner and I played regular with him on a Saturday in Stand Golf Club competitions - every week was different with 4 hours of enjoyment wit and banter the golf was secondary - in 2019 he traveled up from the south to surprise us all and at a St Marys event at Stockport it was great to see him - he then drove home the same day. He always looked immaculate and set the trend for his golf attire. On behalf of all at St Marys Golf Society enjoy that 19th hole in the sky Stuart

    BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that day that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you,
    You did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day god called you home.
    You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
    Our family chain is broken,
    And nothing seems the same,
But as god calls us one by one,
    The chain will link again.

    Greetings

Marnie joined in calling him Grandude and those words are totally befitting of a grand, dude. Gentle, funny, kind and just bloody good fun to be around. Mary and Stuart had a partnership like very few. Soulmates and partners in crime and to be around them was such a joy. Mary, Sam and young Stew and your lovely families I hope in time you will smile broadly when you think of the wicked jokes and that laugh! For now please accept our deepest condolences. With much love Sara, Brian and Marnie.

    Greetings

Having been a long term friend of Sam, I was lucky to meet Stuart & Mary 20 odd years ago. Such an inspirational, kind and fun, fun, fun couple. Stuart epitomised Joie de vie and positivity in my opinion and I know he and the whole family dealt with such an unfair illness with dignity and grace. All our love goes out to Mary,Sam & family, a truly lovely man and huge loss xxx

A massive loss to friends and family. Stuart was always the life and soul of our adventures overseas. Always first on the coach ready for golf or there at the bar with his big smile. Vegas 2019 was probably our best laugh together but so many more memories i'd run out of room to mention. RIP
