Sylvia Tankard

So sorry to hear of the passing of my Auntie Sylvia. I have many fond memories of her from my childhood. Especially from Boxing Day family parties at her home, where she got everyone up and dancing in the lounge - I loved that, it was a highlight of Christmas every year! More recently I have been very thankful for her kind gifts for my son and her interest in him. I believe she had a life well lived, with much cheerfulness. I know Uncle Rodney, David, Mark and Andrew will really miss her but hope they feel she always nearby xxx

So sad to lose another member of the family far too early. Condolences from both me and my Dad to Rodney, Mark, David and Andrew. Still have fond memories from my childhood of the big family get togethers at my Grandparents house in Northenden.

Always so good, unselfish and kind
Few on this earth her equal we find.
Honourable and upright in all her ways,
Loyal and true to the end of her days.
Sylvia, you will never be forgotten.

I knew Sylvia all my life, one of the most caring, understanding and supportive people I had the honour to call a friend. x

In memory of a wonderful friend Sylvia, in 59 years of a great friendship we shared numerous happy holidays, cinema and restaurant visits together with Rod. Will be missed more than words can say.
