Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Leon was such a lovely, kind man who loved to help everyone whenever he could. He was a wonderful neighbour to us and we will all really miss him x

Grandad leon was the most caring and loving man you could ever meet, he was always there for his friends and his family and he always put other people before himself. He was known for his remarkable personality and kindness and he always will be. I couldnt of wished for a better grandad, he did absolutely everything for me and I wish I could show him how grateful I am to have had him in my life️. He will never be forgotten and will always have a special place in my heart, I wish I could see you one last time. I hope I make you proud grandad, love amber xxx

I really wish there was more time. More time for me to get to know such an amazing man. Seeing you at Christmas, hearing you speak of a past filled with achievement was inspiring. Silver service in the navy and a long career in the police force, not everyone can say they achieved those things. I am going to miss you and I am sorry I didnt get to see you as often as I would have liked. I just hope you are at peace and watch over us all with knowing just how much admiration myself and everyone holds for you. Sleep well grandad Leon

Leon was one of the good ones. One of the pleasures of having Knoxy as a friend was getting to know Leon a little. He was a true gentleman. He liked helping people and usually when we met he was in the middle of doing just that. I'm so lucky I got to share that strong Leon handshake as you don't get to meet people like that very often. Sincere condolences to all the family.
