Such sad news and at such a young age! Hadn't seen Guy for many years but happy memories of times together on the cricket field at Walshaw Sports Club in the 1980s. Also fond memories of his mum Ruth who taught me at Walshaw Primary School and his dad Denis. My sympathy goes out to his sister Jane and all his friends at the club who I know talked about him with such high regard and who I know will give a lovely fella a great send off later today RIP old mate.

Such sad news, so many funny memories. Wish I could be there to see you off old pal.

So sorry to hear of Guys passing. I stayed with Guy for the summer of 2010 when I came over from New Zealand to play cricket at Walshaw CC and I had such a great time. Thanks for welcoming me into your home. I was shocked and very saddened when I heard about Guy. Rest easy my friend.
